Documentation of violations by members of the de facto authority in Suwayda – July 16, 2025
📍Through surveillance footage from Sultan Café, located near Shahba Gas Station at the Kanaker junction area—an extension of the main road toward Al-Jarrah Roundabout in Suwayda—we obtained video evidence documenting serious crimes.
These crimes were committed by members of the “General Security” and “Ministry of Defense” under the de facto authority, with the participation of tribal militias loyal to the Jolani government.
📌 What the footage reveals:
🎥 In the video:
• Deliberate shooting at a taxi, resulting in the cold-blooded killing of four civilians (two men and two women).
• The abduction of three children, including an infant.
• Armored vehicles and tanks entering the city center.
The footage also shows the fall of Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Barbour, an elderly man who had stepped out to assess the situation. He was later assassinated in cold blood at the corner of the street.
Victims include a family of three:
• Lama Musleh
• Her husband Diyaa Rafeh
• Their son Kinan Rafeh
• Ghinwa Fares Ghanem, wife of Bashar Al-Barbour
This documentation provides new visual evidence of the scale of the violations committed and refutes the official narratives that denied the occurrence of such crimes.
