A ceasefire violation was committed by members of the “General Security” and “Ministry of Defense” affiliated with the de facto authority, who carried out and issued orders for an attack by tribal militias loyal to Al-Julani’s transitional government. The militias assaulted the Al-Sweimra area using machine guns and 23mm cannons, striking toward Umm al-Zaytoun in an attempt to kill mill workers, burn the grain silos, and disable the mill — with the aim of starving Suwayda.
