❗️Just 20 minutes after the deadly terrorist suicide bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in Damascus, the Ministry of Interior — under the de facto authority and led by Anas Khattab (also known as “Abu Ahmad Hodoud”) — rushed to declare that the attacker belonged to “ISIS”.
⚠️ The unusual speed of this announcement raises disturbing questions beyond the crime itself:
• How was the attacker’s identity and ISIS affiliation determined so quickly?
• Was Anas Khattab informed of the attack in advance?
• Or is the perpetrator and the source of the narrative… one and the same?
🔍 Especially given that, according to multiple eyewitnesses, the bomber was a registered operative within the “General Security” forces.
It is worth noting that Anas Khattab himself is listed on international terrorism watchlists, with a known history of involvement in extremist groups and security cases classified as acts of terrorism.
