Ziad Massouh, a Christian man, was unlawfully detained in Marmarita by โAbu Arab,โ a senior figure in the so-called General Security, and taken to an unknown location.
The incident sparked public outrage. In protest, local residents issued a statement demanding Ziadโs release and suspended Easter celebrations, calling it a blatant violation of the Christian communityโs presence and rights in the Valley of the Christians.
