تمَّ جمع جثث المدنيين العزل الشهداء باستخدام الجرافات، بهدف تمهيد الطريق لدخول قناة الجزيرة لتغطية الأحداث، في محاولة للتستر على مجازر التطهير العرقي التي ارتكبت بحق العلويين. وبالفعل، قامت قناة الجزيرة بنكران الأحداث ونفت ما جرى، متبعةً سياسة تضليل وتقديم أخبار كاذبة.
The bodies of innocent civilian martyrs were being gathered with bulldozers, in an attempt to clear the way for Al Jazeera’s coverage of the events. This is a deliberate attempt to cover up the ethnic cleansing massacres committed against the Alawite community. Al Jazeera, in turn, denied the atrocities, spreading false and misleading reports to conceal the truth.
