استشهاد السيد جهاد بشارة، والد الخوري غريغوريوس بشارة كاهن رعية كنيسة سيدة البشارة، على أيدي عناصر هيئة تحرير الشام التي اجتاحت مدينة بانياس صباح اليوم. جاء ذلك نتيجة اعتداء طائفي ضمن عملية التطهير العرقي، التهمه لانه مسيحي.

Mr. Jihad Bishara, father of Father Gregorius Bishara, the priest of the Church of Our Lady of Annunciation, was martyred by members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham during their assault on the city of Baniyas earlier today. This heinous act was a direct consequence of sectarian violence, part of a broader ethnic cleansing campaign, with Mr. Bishara targeted solely because of his Christian identity.
